I have a Power Gig at Seven45 with my SixString Guitar.

Ever wanted to be a part of a power gig? For many, the Guitar Hero and Rock Band franchises have provided the closest thing to strumming actual strings on a real guitar. These games provided countless nights and hours full of rockin’ out fun. We got to pretend we were as good as the game made us out to be. These games made us feel like we were larger than life Rock stars. Only to fall from grace and land on Earth and realize that we can’t actually play real instruments…at least not the majority of us. To bring our hopes back up, and this time actually keep them up, comes a game that takes banging on fake drums, and strumming on fake guitars to a real level. Power Gig: Rise of the SixString is that game.

Publisher Seven45 Studios is a branched company by FirstAct, a company that manufacturers real musical instruments! Dare I say it? Wowin’ effen sweet. Coming this Fall to our beloved PS3 , as well as the Xbox 360, will be a game that is more than just a game. Power Gig: Rise of the SixString is basically teaching us how to play on an real guitar. They feature a unique “chording” gameplay, in which you strum a specific chord on a specific color note to play along with the song on screen. The guitar itself can be plugged into a real amp and you can freakin’ put on a live show if you will! I honestly can’t wait for this game to come out. Once it does, I hope that record companies jump on it and supply the game with a lucrative song catalog. Good news above all this is that the guitar for Power Gig: Rise of the SixString will be playable on Guitar Hero and Rock Band games…super sweet. Here’s to more news on this game and reviews from people who actually get to play the demo to this. The 4th quarter of gaming is once again looking like one promising storm of huge holiday sales.
